To develop a design for a sandwich composite rear fuselage

To validate a highly integrated route for rear fuselage using fibre placement technology

To demonstrate the interest of the technology with regard to performance and manufacturing costs


Target:

To obtain a 10% weight against a reference BJ metallic fuselage

To reduce the recurring costs of the manufacture of a BJ fuselage structure by 30% against a metallic baseline.

this technology:

Concepts for high load introduction in sandwich shell

System installation philosophy and concepts (no frames to attach equipment)

Curing into a female mould to obtain a "ready to paint" surface
